EBMS Wins Burke County Battle of the Books
Icard- East Burke Middle School has won the Burke County Battle of the Books. All five Burke County Middle
Schools participated in the event on March 4. Students were given a list from the Battle of the Books Committee,
consisting of 27 books. East Burke will now advance onto the regional competition in Conover on April 3. EBMS will
compete against students from 16 other school districts. In the picture below, you can see the East Burke Middle
School team.
