Farmer Trapped In Silo
Statesville- A Statesville farmer was not injured after being trapped in a silo Monday afternoon.
Frank Lackey was putting equipment into the silo when he got stuck in grain up to his waist.
The silo is located on Stamey Farm Road near Island Ford Road.
Lackey began yelling and friends were able to call 911. Firefighters responded and around one hour later, they were able to pull Lackey out of the
grain. Lackey was not injured.
