Two Fire Departments Receive Grants
Burke County- Two Burke County Fire Department's have received grants
from the United States Department of Homeland Security. Icard Township Fire
Department in Hildebran received $45,395. The fire department said that they
would take the money and purchase new communication equipment. Drowning
Creek Fire Department received $64,320. The fire department said that they
would take the money and purchase fire protection equipment.
