Lenoir- Following an intense four hour standoff, a man surrendered to Caldwell County deputies.

The standoff occurred on Ransom Cardwell Lane at around 2:00 p.m. Monday.

According to reports, James Rowe, 48, was allegedly holding a gun at a woman inside the home.

Rowe gave himself up at around 6:30 p.m.

Rowe was placed in jail under an $8,000 secured bond.

The Caldwell County Sheriff's Department, the Caldwell County SWAT team, and Burke County Sheriff's Department officials responded to the scene.
