Newton- The City of Newton responded to three wastewater spills Wednesday.

A 7100 gallon sanitary sewer on North Ashe Avenue overflowed, spilling 7100 gallons in a tributary of Hildebran Creek.

A 66,750 gallon sanitary sewer on NC Highway 10 West overflowed, spilling 33,375 gallons reaching Hildebran Creek.

A 30,000 gallon sanitary sewer on Stadium Avenue overflowed, spilling 4,500 gallons reaching Town Creek.
