(THIS STORY HAS BEEN CORRECTED) Newton- An eleven-year-old boy and two adults were killed after a wreck Wednesday afternoon in Catawba County.

CORRECTION: Hildebran News originally reported that Tyler Trevette was killed in the crash. The Highway Patrol provided WBTV News 3 with incorrect information, according to WBTV. Trevette was injured in the crash. Cody Storey, 11, actually died in the crash. Hildebran News apologizes for the mistake.

Police say that Joyce White, Ruby Leatherman, and Cody Storey, 11, were killed following a wreck at the intersection of Highway 10 and new Highway 16.

White was driving along Highway 10 east. Troopers told WBTV News 3 that White did not stop for a blinking red stoplight and the vehicle was struck by a tractor trailer.

Two other boys were inside the vehicle. They were listed in critical condition at Carolinas Medical Center Wednesday evening.
