Lenoir- A Caldwell County man has been charged with first degree murder after he allegedly shot his wife Saturday morning.

Police found Glenda Peck shot to death on the floor at her Lenoir home Saturday morning.

The Caldwell County Sheriff's Department says that a call came in at around 4:00 a.m. from Covington Way stating "her husband was having a medical problem and was becoming violent."

Deputies forced their way into the home and found Peck shot multiple times on the floor.

Police found Glenda Peck's husband, Herbert Peck, in a closet. Herbert Peck has been charged with first degree murder.
