Hickory- A Hickory man was robbed while attempting to buy back his television.

Roberto Layza broke up with Keisha Matthews, who wasLayza's girlfriend, recently.

Around midnight Friday, Layza asked Matthews to meet him the Waffle House parking lot on 13th Avenue Drive.

Reports say that Layza recently sold his vehicle and had the money from the vehicle sale with him.

On Friday night, Layza was leaving Zaxbys, where he works.

That is when Matthews vehicle pulled into the parking lot. The, according to Layza, two Hispanic males "came out of nowhere" and attacked him. Witnesses at the scene of the crime told police that the males came from Matthews' vehicle.

Matthews has been charged with felony common law robbery. Jonathan Santiago has been charged with felony common law robbery.
